Fake Trademe?

Of those of you who had accounts disabled (inc me),

Who had auto login turned on?

Now I have to contact them and re-connect my account.

Trademe probably used a combination of cookies, and the refer URL (Which website you came from).

i cant log into my tardme account atm and now i get this pretty dodge email saying they disabled it and now i have to now re-enable it and change all my passwords excuse my ignorance but is this real? it aint a scam or nothing is it?, just seems a bit weird thats all lol

yip, thats genuine, had to re-activate my account by ringing that number this morning

When you get sent to their website, their logs will be able to determain the domain you got set from. In turn, if your using broadband they can determain your ip address, and which account uses that ip address every time they logon no matter what day... two and two togeather gives them the account they have to disable for security reasons! (At least thats what i'd imagine happens!)
