cert

Postby JamesM » Tue Dec 19, 2006 1:44 pm

im going to get a cert for my car in the next month and i was thinkign about the stuff they willl look at.. and how they would test it.. like my engine has slightly over 20% power increase.. so they need to test the brakes are up to the job of stopping me when im going 300km/h down my driveway. what im wondering is how do they actually test that the brakes are ok? subjective test of just going full noise and then braking.. and then do that ten times or soemthing and see if it still brakes ok? anyone know? i could just ring them i guess..

for mine he accelerated to 100kph and braked heavily(not standing on it but still not pissing about)to about 30kph then repeated about 5 or 6 times right after each other
then did on big stop from 100 to dead stop as quick as possable to check for fade

this was on the ta23 with factory brakes, old pads and a 1800 turbo
so you should be fine
