Shit that sucks man!
Good to hear your alright, and atleast the engine isnt damaged. Could always grab another shell.

Lucky you bolted that battery down too man!! Otherwise it could have been a little worse. And your cage held up well.

Oh and i got dibs on your fuel rail, injectors, ecu, loom and possibly even the turbo 8) 8) If you sell it and sell it seperatly ofcourse.

But why not get another shell? Or you after a RWD now?

Oh man.... That sucks Dylan! After all the work you put into it!

Good thing you had that roll cage alright, looks like it took a pretty big hit, without that, you would have been toast!
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Hey everyone thanks for all the support :D

Im already planning a new car, and im going to sell my complete 4agte setup but keep the head, block and gearbox.

Sorry simon ill be doing it as a kit but ill still hook you up with your custom fabrication

Here are a few more pictures from the event

In the second picture im the person standing at the passenger door holding the helmet, im passing it to cahuna who lend it to me for the day (many thanks for everything chris).

Basically turbo fwd is too crazy for me to handle on gravel

It has a full roll cage, which is probably what saved my arse the most. Im going to have so many members in my next cage lol

Glad to hear you're okay, and great to hear you're not too phased about it!

Yesterday I went to the Southward car museum, the lighting direct porsche wreck is there, that crashed during a land speed record attempt. Were it not for the cage it would be a ball of metal!

You mean Owen Evans' one? He was lucky to get out with a buggered left arm.

Can't believe you're smiling like that Dylan, you'd almost think you were stoked!

Strangely, I want a race car even more, every time I see a crash.

I just about bust my gullet when I saw this

So, what do you have planned as your next car Dylan? :D
Sticking with the 4AGE I take it. :)

Haha I guess it was quite spectacular for me to experience, I remember the whole thing quite clearly. I was very happy to be able to walk away perfectly fine 8)

I did feel a little heart break after I got it home and it was just lying there all usless, and thinking of all the hours that had gone into it. As soon as I added up my losses it wasnt bad at all which made me feel better as money is soooo tight on all my projects.

But now I just wanna move on and learn from my mistakes :D

Probably gonna chuck the smallport in another car, still looking for that car though  Im just going to go out test driving ae82's, aw11's, etc and see what I like. Im almost sold on an mr2 after helben and romanV made me shit my pants in the passengers seat.

Now if there's ever a claim that rollcages are a huge investment not to mention compulsory in events then that would be proof this would be it. We had someone in their first speed event at ruapuna who was running slicks had no experience with how the car handled (that's just a side point) and rolled his car going into the carousel made a mess but only thing hurt was his pride. It makes you feel alot more comfortable knowing you can go as fast as you can do so within your driving skills and if anything goes pear shaped you're well protected

Good example of why full cages are much more effective than half cages. A big hit on top of the A-pillar without a full cage would suck.
