Its an S54 box, LSD was an option. Quite rare and expensive tho, E153 converted to FWD is the cheapest and easiest way. I cant remember why he used GTZ shafts, i think it was cos they could have been stronger? I can find out if you wish.

E153 is a turbo MR2 box. Converting it to FWD involves changing the shifting arms etc to the equivilant from a FWD E series box (E58, E150F etc)

Marks Celica:

http://nzefi.com/show.php?pid=12&

has run a high 12, I suspect this is the one that is being talked about in Christchurch. There is also ICEBOY which we have tuned too, making similar power.

Cheers

260ish kw - Traction issues FTW ;)

thats a pokey FWD car right there!

Aiming for that at all fours for my Group A and a low 13ish

As a footnote theres a number of celicas , 1g powered , 1j and 1uz turbo powered in OZ i know of owned by friends that are dipping into the 11's on street tyres

Most are Ra23 Celica based but the 1uz Turbo is a RWD converted St185 group A ( you know them as RC ) Gt4 - He's still running a stock 1uz block and heads i believe too, with cams and other goodness in the works for the future

Does the Forumla Toyota cars count ? they run Celica engines. They manage to do puke' at 54 seconds which makes the F'n fast.
