My STOLEN car possibly seen up north!!! Info please...

Postby Crampy » Tue Jan 16, 2007 9:21 pm

Hi all.
My mate went camping up Dargaville way last week and on the way there he spotted a car that he thinks might have been the one I had stolen from Auckland Hospital over a year ago now.

It's a 1985 Toyota Corolla EE80 Sedan. It's Bronze, but the bonnet was spray painted matt black. It's lowered on king springs and has tints. It was only on steelies when it got stolen (thank god I had the mags off it) The rear left quarter window was smashed when they broke into it and the grill was ripped off.
The number plates have been recovered already (they were on a Subaru Lagacy GT Wagon that got snapped by a speed camera and impounded not long after).
Inside it has newly recovered rear seats and the fronts are non-adjustable Jamex racing seats. It had an indash fold out TV screen and a nice Kenwood CD headunit. It also had a really Gay Monster Tach on the right side of the dash with a shift light. I'm guessing all the interior stuff may have been ripped out by now, but I am very interested that someone may still be driving it around.

If anyone has seen this car or has any info about it which may help lead to the recovery of it, it will be most appreciated (maybe even a reward given).
So, if anyone was up North for holidays and may have seen this car please reply or PM me.

Cheers.

I porbably should have also mentioned it has a Silvertop 20 Valve 4AGE conversion, including an AE101 Levin gearbox.
This is the main reason I want it bakc. It was a damn fun car to drive.
I don't much about the seats and stereo or interior stuff, just the car and engine.

It's a NZ model DX.
Had the good ol' 2E in it. It was owned brand new by the the dudes grandmother and when she couldn't drive it anymore, she said he could have it as long as he looked after it.
So, he got it and chucked the 20 valve in it, lowered it and tinted it. Plus chucked all the $hit inside it
I suppose that's looking after it, not what she would have had in mind however.
