BZ Touring set up tyres/suspension

Postby Willdat? » Fri Jul 06, 2007 11:38 am

Kia ora, I've been clocking up quite a bit of ks recently, 25,000 in the last 6 months...driving from Nelson to Queenstown and back every second weekend. My car probably needs new shocks and new tyres in the next month or so and I was wondering what I should get done. Budget of around 2k, here's my initial feeling...buy some lightish (second hand) 15" Enkei RP01s or similar, fit them with directional rubber (what brand?!) and buy a set of TRD (or other?) shocks, get a wheel allignment done. And hey presto a nicer handling Corolla BZ Touring, any thoughts?

You forgot a set of lowering springs... which Id reconmend before getting shocks. KYB's are usually the best value for money, give Stocks a call to get a quote, but $2k might be a little light for what you want to do... as per always.. the more you spend the better the result.

Oh and don't buy 2nd hand suspension parts... I found that out the hard way.

I can back that up, got that setup for my levin from revy about a year ago. Excellent setup for the money.

As for tyres I've had good experence with dunlop DZ101's, great bang for buck.
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.
