engine bay mod questions

anyone know how much of the area in front of the strut tower can be removed without removing structural integrity, like a series 6+ rx7 there is nothing infront of the struts, u can see right through to the wheels.... anyone know for sure, car is a ke25, will be getting a cert eventually anyway.....

FD's are designed around the fact they don't have that sheet metal there though.

As with anything of this nature, talk to your certguy because no matter what some boob on the internet says, he has the ultimate say on things :wink:.

thats not an area i'd be trying to save weight in aye (if thats what your trying to do). Strip all the weight you can out of the doors/boot/bonnet first. Moved the battery rearward yet?

u can actuley do what ever u want if u are interested in reclassing your vehicle as a hot rod =), u can remove airbags seam weld change strut towers u can basicly do anything then just get a cert lets u get away with alot more than just modifying a car as YOU become the car's "manufactuor"
