I'm a hard out IT-Geek who got sick of people trying to steal/break into my car... so added some cameras to try and catch them in the act. Doesn't stop them, but does something to reduce the anonymity car thieves operate under....

What about sending them to NZ Performance car mag? Would they be able to publish those? Or could there be legal repercussions if they did that?

I cant imagine there would be legal problems if you can actually prove that he broke into your car, ie a picture of him smashing window/trying to fiddle with alarm etc or better still a video of it all happening.

You quite often see shops/supermarkets etc with security camera pictures of people and what they stole, quite funny. Best one I've seen was in the window of a sex shop in town, had a picture of a guy and listed the things he stole. Would be VERY funny if his mates etc saw the picture seeing as he stole a buttplug from memory

I have never seen a car with a chosen few sticker on the back that didnt look like it was full of gangsta try hards looking for trouble... stereotyping happens because the target keeps demonstrating the same behaviour - thats how they get stereo typed

yeah one of the shops in wellington, right at the entrance, on a huge A3 poster it had the security cam pic with 'IF YOU KNOW THIS MAN PLEASE LET HIM KNOW WE WOULD LIKE OUR SHOPLIFTED PENIS-PUMP BACK' in massive bold text.

$&#$% crackup.

I agree on this one, I drive sometimes in manukau (for work) and there was not a day when I have not seen a "chosen" looking "bad ass" in WRX/Silvia/etc. Even in penrose I see them every day, and honestly I have not seen a decent looking guy there that was not dressed in "G" uniform, and not wearing all distinguished medals/accessories that comes with it.

I think Nazi uniform looks cool (minus swastika and if you forget about what Nazis were), but I don't wear it do I?
why the hell they allow to wear something that is associated with image of a group of people that terrorise the community?
