It really depends on your and your driving style if you ask me.

For example, an MR based car would be good, but is less forgiving. A 4WD makes it easier to go round corners, but the speed at which you go round corners may not be equal to other 2WD cars.
An FF would be good if you're not familiar with oversteer, and understeer is typically a lot easier to deal with for most people.
An FR would be good if you're capable of dealing with oversteer as well as understeer.

Don't take what I say as gospel though, it also depends on the cars setup etc. But one of the main things to keep in mind is how you like to drive.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Ok. Just want a car to have fun around the hills with. Just want to know what would be the best suited type; fwd, rwd or 4wd. Of course i want the car to grip; eg not sledge off the fu.king side.

That should have been in the first post, right?

Track down my old Alfa, that was fun in the hills and embarrassed some much much newer machinery over there....
