Where to buy a AE101 Dash Light

Postby haydo » Sun Apr 20, 2008 7:24 pm

Hi guys.

One of my dash light bulbs blew today. It's the hand brake light. I swapped it around to make sure it was the bulb.

Took it into repco to get a replacement and apparently they don't sell them and sugested an auto sparky.

Where do I buy these bulbs from in CHCH if possible. :D.

The bulb appears to sit in a wee blue holder that screws into the back of the gauge cluster and doesn't seem to come out of the holder.

Thanks guys.

Repco can get them, if its the size I'm thinking of. Just tell the numbnuts behind the counter to look in the Narva catalogue a bit closer.

you can take it out the holder, just bend the 2 wires straight again,

but id recomend going to a wreakers and get one, probably no more than $5

If it's the type I'm thinking of (the same type behind the heater controls)

You have to bend the wired connected to the bulb around the base of it and pull it out. I got mine from an auto sparky for like 30c a bulb

These days you even get the options, bulb, or holder, or bulb in the holder.. Just the numb nuts to look in the (blue section?) Narva catalog :)
