yeh right so everytime someone gets a 6c a litre voucher they lose money, heck ive had 20c a litre vouchers before

Haven't read the whole thread but if they only expect 10c a litre discount... I get that through pak n save anyway?

All the time without having to buy sh*t? Like use it every day kinda thing is the idea I think.

True, the amount you have to spend is always different but we just go there once a week to fill up the ms's car which we use most of the time.

Would be nice if pak n save had 98

They claim it back from the higher up in the company.

Yes, the fuel site DOES lose money when you use those coupons, but they get it back in the end.

Service stations are pretty much like dairy, but they sell petrol too. They arnt whats ripping us off. The oil companies however make money from the petrol and are the ones who pretty much dictate the price.

Good thing is my mobil is still under $2 per L

It was summed up pretty well in a movie I saw about a movie theatre (Applies to gas stations though):

"We are not in the movie business; we are in the popcorn and drinks business, the movies just make people buy them!" - Same goes, petrol makes you go there, enticing shelves covered in chocolate give them profit.
