hmmm, Well for me personally its not about being the fastest on the road, that whole street racing scene doesnt appeal to me, but the only thing that worries me is the mention of the crank moving requring and engine rebuilt :S. I like the shape of the IV aswell, i dont no why but the bulgy bits on the later models just dont seem to appeal as much?

But i guess if i went thru a dealer, id get warrnties etc??
And i know sweet piss all about turbos and the required bits so if anyone has a page that has all the relative stuff i'd love to do some researching :P:)

I will join the chorus in saying that the 4's have the worst rep of all of them, and you shouldn't buy one.

I had a evo4.

Great car, AYC diffs can be replaced for cheap enough. Mine had a cusco LSD which was freaken sweet.

With a good suspention setup and more boost the cars really fly and will definately feel good around corners. Mine had a very nuteral cornering, foot off gas slight understeer, foot on and slight oversteer. Could get the car on the ballance of slipping on all 4's pretty easy then foot down and it would pull it self out of the corner.
Pulled a 13.0 quater too - standard engine, full interior with sounds, and a lot of dynamat on street tyres. Car tipped the scales at 1640kg so they arnt light.

But a 13.0 with around 200kw ATW that weighs so much is good for any car IMO. Was boosting around 20psi. Car did this all day every day and AF ratios were good, no knock nothing.

Nice comfortable car and loads of fun to drive.

I wouldn't bother with a 5 or 6, just get good pads and it will be fine. Or hold out for a evo7!
PICS UPDATED DAILY
Evo IV - 13.0 @ 167.8 kph Full street trim - SOLD
Boosted 4age Ke30 - Im back and better than ever!
