Removing +100km/h beep from ae82

Postby Scotty » Sun May 31, 2009 3:53 am

Hey anyone know where the beep comes from/how to stop it when you go over 100km/h in a ae82 corolla?

start pulling dash apart

smash offending item with hammer!

And don't forget to put the screws that hold the beeper back in place as they also help to earth the gauge cluster .

My KP's got a bell that's so hilariously erratic and inconsistent I choose to leave it installed.

The one in my old AW11 was similarly hilarious, if you could sit the needle bang on 110 it would stop, but if you dropped below or went above it would try play catch ups, so would sound something like this:
Ding...ding....ding...dingding...diiing.........ding...dingdingdingdiding
