GSD3 F-1s over everything mentioned especially when the roads or track is wet completely untouchable.If you want a source google Aussie Mag Wheels tire tests for the last 3 years the GSD3 F-1s have rated in the top 3 or won the tests.

Only problem is that they test it when the tyre is new. The problem arises when GSD3 wears out to about 4-5mm, it looses traction big time.
Also people tend to shred them to bits on the track.

And they get noisy!

I can only presume that the new Eagle F1 assymetric improved, Looks like they wont get noisy.

+ 1 for getting noisy. Had them on my car. Just got a set of 225/45r17 Toyo CT-01s. and before anybody says it's a comfort tyre, they stick to the road like shit to a blanket. seriously awesome tyres, was sceptical but don't regret buying them 1 bit. Have had Toyo T1rs in the past, awesome tyre to but they wear out farken quick. my 2c anyways.

I've probably got about 3-4mm left and no change in grip. Previous sets have gripped well till replaced too.

That said, pretty sure they've been replaced anyways with improved design etc.

Currently running Michelin Pilot Preceda's 195/50R15 they seem pretty good but are $250/each to replace.

Liked the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's on the MR2, the only tire that tamed it in the wet. They are around $200/each.

Anything new that I should look at? Haven't bought good tires in about 4 years LOL

Dam theres no comparison , the michelins are by far the best , and whoever is giving you that price is looking after you , i would take those over anything else , and im qualified to make that call even 8)

at only $50 per tyre, I would take the Michelins too. But I like Michelin products...

Not in my experience I have had the same GSD3 F-1s on my Supra for about 4 years now have done a handful of track-days and decent open road mileage on them aswell and I've had no issues with traction on the road or at the track in the wet or dry.I mean for those who were at last Octobers intermarque's at Manfield the place was underwater I managed to finish second out of about 50 or 60 odd cars with the GSD3 F1s and I had no traction issue's there at all.

Road noise has never been an issue for me as all I am interested in was the actual grip of the tyre in dry and especially in the wet while going fast.The reason why I rate the Goodyear over all else is that all my wet weather days at Manfield I have gone really well with these tyres and I just haven't come across a tyre that comes close for all round performance.

Now I don't no if the fact that my Goodyears were made in the U.S and Germany makes a difference or the fact that I run a 285 tyre on the rear and a 255 tyre up front but I haven't experienced what you are talking about at all with my Goodyears.
