Oooh another one I remember was overtaking a car on the way to the mount. Asshole speeds up, and I'm already doing 130 beside him. Out of nowhere a Ute and trailer appear infront of me that was ages in the distance before hand so I slam on the brakes and wrench to the left.

Thanks christ for ABS. Needless to say we followed the $&#$% and wrote a very nasty letter which we left on his windshield. It had many profanities like "your a dick" on it, I bet he wont do that again. Dick.

^ hahaha @ the letter

Another one I remember :D
Driving around albany trying my best to be a D1NZ driver!!

came out of a turn and swung the ass out and it went wayyyy to far and I was quite a n00b and didn't know what to do so I tried counter-steering and flick'd it back the other way. After trying to keep up with the car swinging out either way i eventually lost it and was going headon into the curb!!! Wasn't quite sure where my wheels where in my car so I just spun the wheel and hoped for the best!!!

Luckily by complete and utter fluke I must have pulled the wheels stratight as when I hit the curb I just poped up onto it (rather than $&#$% my front wheels up) and was sitting with my back tyres on the road and my nose up on the curb

I got out of there real quick with my ego left behind :S

Baldish rear tyres, Dyre's Pass Road, blind left hander with mysterious water puddle half way round, going a bit sideways already when hitting it. I was shitting myself when I saw the new Honda Jazz heading straight for me though my driver's door window. Very narrow miss.

Then another time on an MR2 clubrun I was coming down from Taylor's Mistake to sumner and only clicked at the last possible second that the car infront of me wasn't driving it was actually parked half way in the middle of the road and there was an oncoming legacy. I slid between the two cars with all wheels locked up missing them by inches. Apparently quite a spectacle for the person behind me, my old man was along for the ride and shitting himself too.

both were a bit of a wakeup call, I don't drive cars with crap tyres anymore , I also don't try to get sideways nowadays.

The 25km/h S bend down into Governor's Bay is fantastic, lift off oversteer FTW.
