Curiosity killed the cat

Postby AE86less » Fri Dec 11, 2009 2:28 pm

My GX71 failed it's WOF on a seatbelt that wouldn't retract well. I spent a while mucking around and managed to free it up a little bit, enough to retract slowly. I was going to go back for the recheck and then thought "Why not?" This is why you don't remove the cover

Spring explodes out and hits you in the face

I don't want to pay $200+ for a new one, does anyone have any leads on 2nd hand?

HAHAHA i did exactly the same thing 3 days ago! I figured that warning was all show too. Repco has them for $138 for the belt and the buckle. the "Seat belt shop" has em for $135 but you have to cut somethign to size which didnt sound safe to me...

I'm not a douche, just an ex AW owner :P

Lol at the warning being all for show. I figured the same thing. I don't know how well a belt and buckle set would work as the buckle is part of the seat frame.. Also, I know it's picky, but I have a maroon interior...

I don't stock maroon, not entirely sure I could ease the blow on the price even if I could.

I miss my pimp gx71 interior myself.

That interior is pure badness.

My dash has been pulled apart for about 4 months cause the interior fan doesn't work/can't figure out the wiring to fix it. I'd forgotten what it looks like.

I may have to give Ewan a bell and get one from Japan..
