Spigot Remover

Hey dont know if this is the right section but if anyone in gisborne has a spigot remover that will work on a RB20DE could i borrow it please for a box

im pretty sure theyre the same size as an SR20,
i just filled the cavity behind the bush with grease and stuck a 1/2" extension in the hole and whacked it with a hammer

yep, thats the correct way to do it. seems odd when you hear it for the first time, but it work.

it usually works, if a bearing is particularly tight though its possible for the grease to push through the races and out the front again, or out around your 1/2 inch extension etc.

have had to smash one or two out in the past, you can get a slide hammer type tool for them but in my experience if its too tight for the grease trick to work the slide hammer version just rips the inner out of the bearing anyway

tis not a bearing on SR20/Rb engines, its a sintered bronze bush, so no probs there.
