ae101 levin shocks, price these days for new?

Postby sik_gt_starly » Tue Aug 17, 2010 9:28 pm

just been thinking i should really give my pos daily a birthday present, maby some new front shocks as mine are poked, and doesnt handle anywher near as well as it used to.

whats the price on front shocks these days for 91 ae101, i will go new.

Is genuine Toyota the way to go pricewise? or monroe shocks etc better value for money? not too worried about how long they will last as i dont imagine i will have the car for too much longer, but the shocks atm are absolutly poked and will most likely fail a wof

I dont want to buy second hand as theres a chance ill end up with shocks worse than what ive already got.

cheers

if you can get at trade prices, i would guess around $100 a side for standard aftermarket (presuming its not superstrut)

if not, probably around a zillion

i dunno retail on shocks is horrific

The stock shocks are made by KYB so are decent, dare I say better than aftermarket Monroes.

I'm not sure if Toyotas pricing has changed in the last few years but when I bought a new set of shocks for my AE101 S/S back in 2006 they werent any more expensive than non S/S.

Why don't you send an email to our official TNZ parts supplier? Always works for me.
