do not buy a V70 under any circumstance, particularly one from singapore.

have worked on heaps of them, even worse than your average volvo. at one stage we were servicing 5 or 6 on a regular basis, i think they would have averaged out to about 1k for a service once you got done fixing all the other shit that goes wrong with them.

Good choice! I didn't think of one of them. I had an 850 which is a bit out-dated in comparison but I found it a really NICE car to drive and surprisingly powerful for what it was. Proved reliable enough for me, but bits of cosmetic trim bits were showing their age (ie hood lining falling down, corner of the dashboard lifting up etc).

*edit* only looked at the link after posting the above, I thought it was the next shape up from that one. I would definitely avoid a Singapore import one. Should be plenty of NZ-new 2003+ examples for around that price. They do tend to depreciate horribly though.

Have driven both of these models, they go stonkingly quick, easily as quick as turbo leggy. They also come with pimping Bose sound system

Would you consider this? I mean it is a bit older but its low kms, quick, practical and once you slap on a warranty you will still have enough left over to go for a holiday in Aussie

Finally got a new wagon :D
2004 Suby Legacy 3.0R with bilsteins all round. Flew up to Palmy on Saturday morning, bought it, and then drove back to CHCH. Boy was that a fun drive, got to CHCH and wanted to turn around and do it all again!

Awesome mix of comfort, power and handling, couldnt be happier with it at the moment!

So, if anyone is after a tired old 93 20v Trueno, let me know
