I disagree. there are many people on here who work or have worked in many different sectors of the car market.

I've heard about being mis-quoted... but 8O

I'd completely trust a virgin mormon to fix me a tasty alcoholic drink!

Which I would then promptly pass to somebody I don't like to drink as it would in all liklihood consist of nitroglycerine.

Doesn't matter, this is a Toyota forum so there is no way anyone on here has a clue or experience with euro cars. Must be the case if people are bagging a car that isn't a Toyota. As per BFBC2, QQ.

Downplaying faults on cars I own, feel free to ask me my thoughts on MR2's

Having lived in Singapore for the past 8 and a half years, I don't really get why people have a negative mindset towards their imports? Cars are religiously serviced, barely driven and new and it isn't just a big congestion city - traffic moves, it's basically like Auckland city at 2 am  Although during weekends certain areas get built up, but everything flows amazing well and there are barely ever standstills.

The humidity would be the main thing negative I could think of really and minor electrical faults occur when exposed to the very cold NZ climate - that's what I hear anyway.

We've owned many Euros (most of which are new) over the years and whilst most are NZ new, some were imported from Singapore and we've had no issues whatsoever with them (neither did we have issues with our Euros over in Singapore). Minor electrical problems of course, nothing expensive - due to these cars basically running off electrics lol

IN REGARDS TO THE VW GOLF: When we first came back to NZ at the end of December last year, I got a 2002 Golf GTX 2.0l turbo with leather Recaros as a run-about whilst I didn't have a car, it only had done 90,000 kms. To be honest, at first I thought "Oh, well this is a bit gay", but then after driving it around, seeing how well it handled and how it had good low-end power and I would happily own another one again (I've never had a car so good on gas either). I think they guy has modded that one nicely, but I don't think it's worth that much mate... I bought mine for 5k and it was 'MINT', so look around a bit more. :D
