Yep, but if they do it within 3 months, they have to backpay till the last time it was put on hold, eg: If you put it on hold in May for 3 months, then license it in July for a year, the year will start in May and not July.

also they don't send it to debt collectors, you just get a bill from NZTA about it. Goes from date of mr13a, and stops at processing date of mr13b

Ahh yes correct :oops: :oops:

I had in my mind putting on hold normally when not selling/buying (probably because i do it so often :lol:)

Yep. Holds are a pain when sellers don't tell you. With my two wheeled death trap which is on hold til Monday. Should stop riding it...
