Options for car storage?

Postby RomanV » Fri Sep 30, 2011 2:13 pm

Hey,

Just wondering if anyone here has any experience renting out storage space to fit a car in.

Either a persons garage, or at a storage place, or whatever...

Any advice / horror stories / etc appreciated!

It costs $430 / month if the NZPolice organise your storage

If its just for storage, it can be quite cheap. Had my old MR2 in storage for 2 months, was something like $20 a week.

Will depend on size of garage/ storage area and the person hiring it. My old lockup which had 24/7 electronic access cost me $35/ week which was 3 x 5m. The other storage place i'm renting costs $30 week in 3 x 5m

Hmmm well, it looks as though its going to be most cost effective to just move to a new place that has a garage.

There's a place with a room to rent just up the road, thats $5 a week cheaper than current, and has half of a double sized garage that no one uses!
