What does a rusty and de-reg ae85 notch sell for.......

Postby crispy'86 » Mon Oct 17, 2011 9:28 pm

Contempalting selling my ae85 notchback, shifted it from parents place 3 years ago at least, been sittin round at home and since have pulled some interior out (not that it had much in to start with). put another door on passenger side. Quite rusty in the boot seal area and boot floor by the back panel seam so IMO too rusty to repair. No running gear, De-reg and rolling shell what ya think it's worth? I personally think about 3-400

Although which one isn't rusty these days
It's a hard one to work out the value as you just don't see them in that condition advertised.
In my head ideally i'd keep it but reality is that i just can't

Try searching expired auctions on Tardme to get an idea of actual selling price. If you search for ae85/ae86 in the cars category, you should see the stuff that was $1 start/reserve or realistically priced and if recent enough you can still see photos of the condition ie. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-ca ... 839523.htm

If I had more space, time, money and it was in the north island, I'd probably want it :)

thats your answer there.

Stop dreaming; throw it on trademe for $1 reserve and let the market decide.
