Toyota returns to Le Mans

Postby Mr Revhead » Mon Nov 07, 2011 12:00 pm

Well, as I said when Toyota pulled out of F1 (yes thats a "I told you so" :P )
Toyota are well under way to entering next years Le Mans with a hybrid LMP1 car. Alex Wurz is expected to be one of the drivers and Oreca is the team helping out with the car.

Several other makes are looking to join the top class soon too, inc Porshce and Jaguar.

I'm rather excited!! :D

thats awesome to hear!

a hybrid? that sounds interesting - maybe they are trying to get back at Audi who put their Diesel Powered ones in and kicked arse as they didint have to enter the pits as often to refuel

then again - hybrid usually means more weight which needs more power to keep the same performance which raises consumption of both fuel and electricity - would be interesting to see what their plans are

^ single best car in GT5, howls like nothing else.

Been following this for a bit, will be very interesting the whole hybrid v diesel battle.
Would rather they come back to WRC.
