The road code applies to where ever the public can drive whether they are allowed to or not.
Sounds like you need to check some laws and make sure you are licensed to do what you want to do

It depends if the DOD road you are driving on is the base road or taxiway I believe.

If just the roads around the base - yes road code applies, but, you may find there is some flexibility in policing it.

Is the mozzie a rep or original? Do you have an arrangement with them already/could try do something like the spitfire guys at ohakea have done.

Its a replica, i already have a contract when i used to own my other planes.

Landcruiser in low range will do it piece of piss,ive towed couple of truck one was a big Volvo hiab with 8.5 ton on back.It got stuck down a step driveway,the yota pulled it out easy as

Why don't you just use a little tug or a tractor. On flat smooth ground you don't need much power

You need a BIG truck. There is nothing short of that you can LEGALLY use, 11 ton plus tow vehicle will put you well into big rig type territory. Realistically just pay whatever it costs to store it in a hanger at the airfield.

Those ex army u1300's struggle to pull the skin off a rice pudding (and are maintenance nightmares when it comes time for a cof).

I guess this thread is waiting on him finding out what rules he needs to follow while towing on base.
