4e-fe value

Ive looked on trade me for a price guide on 4e-fe engines but there not any on there, The new shell I have got to rebuilt the race car came with a 4e-fe 1300 16v motor, it is complete with gearbox computer and wiring loom, any ideas what its worth.

im struggling to flick my 7afe turbo for 600!! so no not worth alot.
Maybe advertise as a giant paper weight :lol:

Yeah next to the 4E-FTE & 5E there pretty undesirable. Id agree with the others. $150 for engine, $200+ w/box

We could all chuck in some money and you could rev it till it explodes. :lol:
Might take a while though 4efe's are surprisingly strong

its a bit of a different market though isint it.

you wouldnt get the long block from a wrecker for less than 350 +gst i dont reckon, provided its in reasonable nick obviously.

perhaps you can find a car with a rooted 4efe, buy cheap, transplant and profit by selling a complete vehicle?

problem is of course that the reason they are so cheap, is because it's pretty rare that they blow up. So finding one with a dead engine isn't super common unlike some vehicles.

Meh, wont work, my attempt ended in the engine stopping... because it melted the leads.

I'm sure someones got a spare turbo setup we could chuck on it :lol:
I want to do this to my 4e when I've got my 5e installed.
