Mazdas are easy to work on, you just have to know what you're doing and how to do it correctly.

i drove a Mazda that once decided to drop its own engine if that helps?

sure the subframe was made of rust but it was if it spontaneously went "RIGHT! change my clutch! and the engine\gearbox fell out only being held in by the axles

the car was $&#$% but it made a great paddock hoon up until the above split of personality

any rusty old car is going to be a piece of shit, you can't pin that down to a manufacturer.
