Anyway she tried a few months back and failed and has been scared to go again. It seems like there is too much riding on the attitude of the instructor at the time and their judgement as opposed to actual driving skill. The comments from the person last time was that everything was perfect, expect I think you were going 1kmh when you were at the stop sign. She was adamant that she stopped because obviously she was making a point to do so. But the guy said he didnt feel the car do that little backwards/forwards wobble thing when the car comes to a complete stop....that is bullshit to me, if you break smoothly you can come to a stop without doing that!
About 15 years ago when I learnt to drive I had a couple of lessons with a proper driving instructor and one of the things he told me to do during the test was put on the handbrake when you stop at a stop sign, because it makes it clear to the tester that you have completely stopped.
It's similar to checking your mirrors, you need to exagerate the action to ensure the tester see's what you are doing.
