Corolla Diesel 2009

looking on trademe and came across a 2009 diesel hatch

Anyone know much about these? Was seeing what the pros and cons are. how are the engines in these?

any differences in the 1.4 and 2.0?

any info appreciated.

Neat little cars. The 2L are grunty little rockets. I havnt had the joy of driving the 1.4 option. They do tend to use abit of oil, some more than others depending on their service history and how theyv been treated.. But all good diesels do. They run Diesel Particulate Filters so require low ash oil for servicing. They have euro spec brakes on them, which if youve replaced brakes on euros you will know what i mean when i say they can be a pain in the ass and tend to wear out faster than normal.
