Well Ive been promised my money back, after I sent them a scathing email. I wanted everything in writing and formally done. The owner sounded like he was extremely disappointed with how things went down, and quickly agreed with everything I complained about.

New exhaust will be made up this week, the old one goes back, money transferred, done and dusted. Hopefully it goes that way, Im tired of this shit.

Who will be making the new exhaust? Good to hear you get your money back.

The new exhaust is all done, and its wonderful.

The only slight issue is that there is a rattle in the muffler at bang on 2k. Not a deal breaker, Ill mention it on Monday, Im sure its minor.

Thanks to AJ and the crew, such great dudes. Definitely recommend Albany. Avoid Browns Bay like the plague.

Man that sucks I hate it when people don't do what you ask when you're paying good money. But in your situation I would (and have in the past) done the same thing. Just never gone back there again....

You've kind of got to remember most people who weld exhausts are fairly lowly trained/skilled. To their credit exhausts are a prick of a job at the best of times but the guys doing it really don't understand performance tuning on modern cars and they aren't trained fabricators.

I just do all my own exhausts. Horrible job but even if you get to the point of tacking it up and get a fabricator to weld it you'll end up with a massively better finished result.

I guess in summary I haven't come across anyone who does exhausts that is capable of doing a quality job...

Great end result though looks like your onto a winner!

In all honesty the second job is much better but the quality of the welding imo could probably be improved some what.

If you want quality work take it to someone who has a passion for it, not some one who just does it for a job.

Never to go Pitstop for a performance ex system. How many bad stories i've heard come form Pitstop....

If you want a good job you take it to a proper car fabricator.

After driving it a bit, its actually a wee bit too loud. Not sure what to do about it though. Think its related to the rattle - the muffler might need replacing.

I like to use the line "it's OK I can stop by and pick up the cheque" works everything.
