Logbook/Authority Card help

Postby 88.4ageGT » Sun Apr 02, 2017 8:46 am

hey all, I need some help im looking to start build a road legal track car but im just abit unsure pf the paper work side..

So first of all these are my questions

-Can you have a log book for a car that doesnt have a cage? (i dont wanna put a cage in just yet)
-you need a log book to get a authority card so you can still get a wof with race seats/belts correct?

Are there any other processes i have to follow to just be able to strip out the car completely and have 2 race seats/belts and it still be road legal?

Sorry if the questions are dumb.. im new to this lol

thank you all :D

Might be a good idea to ask Motorsport NZ directly about this. There are documents covering this sort of thing but can be confusing for cars that are not full race cars.
The only thing I am sure of is you have to do 2 events a year to keep your Authority Card.

That's 2 events run by a Motorsport NZ affiliated club, not just something like a playday or a private track hire day.
See ya
