1998 Caldina Small leak around right passenger door

Postby Ismart120 » Sun May 06, 2018 1:26 am

Hi all,

The old caldina seems to be letting some water in during moderate/heavy rain near the bottom of the right passenger door, I suspect it's coming in via the window not sealing true but has anyone come across this before?

The worst was when it pooled water in the rear footwell (needed a towel to clean up) but normally it's just a slight amount of damp near the bottom of the door/on the carpet

Common issue? Other side seems fine - the right is missing the monsoon shield though

Take off the door card, and check that the opaque plastic sheeting stuck to the door is in place and intact. Rain gets into doors, but runs down through them and out the drain points in the bottom, however, if that plastic is not in place, it can drain into the car, just as you describe.

Awesome, thanks - I was hoping that it was something relatively simple like this. Will take it apart next weekend and have a look
