Its moreso the chassis than the motor...it did the 8.2 with something like 600hp, or similarly low (for the ET) numbers.

Yeah I like the GTR's but you have to give big up's to the Rayglass Datto that mint time for something that doesn't put out as much hp as the GTR's..

Also, Reece is 2nd faster 4wd in the entire world.....

the rayglass datto is quicker, but it ain't even in the top hundred rwd drag cars in the world.

Very different playing field.

6.9 from a RWD tube chassis Eclipse with a 4G63. Brent Rau I think his name was. May have gone faster since, but that was the best time I've heard from him. Still, a whole second is a LOONG way to go compared to HT's 0.4 or so to beat the HKS GTR (especially considering the new methanol 1400hp+ engine is in HT's car apparently).

Did the HKS GTR take its record at central circuit or sendai?? Sendai looks suspiciously downhill!!! lol..

Also worthy of note, i think the japs run gas, not methanol. 8O

is that really the fastest? A few years ago I read about a funny car with an integra body, with a 4L+ 4 cylinder engine (custom made from billet alloy) that was supposed to run a lot faster than a 6.9

Yees true, but I never saw any official times from that car, and also I'm basing my view on using a stock block, not something completely rediculous like that funny car. Also the fact that it is over 4L kinda puts it out on contention for Sport Compact (I always thought the limit over here was 4L for and Import to be classed as an Import?)

Docile has the second fastest 4wd trap speed in the world, 2mph behind the HKS skyline. And dociles only a 4 cylinder!

If only he could launch the thing properly..

The fact that its pointing at either the wall or the tree as it crosses that 60ft mark kinda puts a dampener on the fact it got there so fast

But once it gets sorted....
