nice wheels, but there is no way that car is worth 25k.
25k i would expect a fully rebuilt 86 with a good strong freshly rebuilt motor and gearbox and a solid gold gear stick knob.

Its been f*cked with. Maybe if it was all original it would be worth a bit. I still think for that money you should be getting 25 of them

Yeah but in my opinion this is irrelevant because the vehicle has been modified, if it was in original condition then it would be of higher value

a fool and his money shall be parted !!
Wot an absolute joke , why do all these people think that an ae86 is worth tht sort of money ,its rediculous !
You could have alot more nicer and better cars for tht money , or u could build like 4 of those in better condition for tht money 8O

yesterday i would have said "impossible that someone will pay that sort of money". But then again some muppet just paid $20k for a handbag didnt they !

A NZ new corolla is hardly a true collectable. Yes its a nice niche car for the avid fan, but not something you'll pay 4x the normal price for. I can almost understand someone paying $20k for that white one. After all its had allot of money spent on good bits (engine for a starter), but this one, maybe $2>$3k premium at most, especially now its been munted with after market mods.

Heh, at least this time, the AE85/86 owners on here all share the same opinion as the rest of us!

Too right though, I mean, at the end of the day, its' a mass-produced, mid-80's, probably rusty "Collora", with a warmed-over motor. If look at it closely, the panel gaps are all up the shit, the lights and grill don't even remotely sit straight.. its' obviously had a hard life!

Holy crap - there is a R33 GT-R V Spec on the yard beside work, with a 1/3 the k's, around twice the power for another $4k more.

Hmmm, AE86....GT-R...I know where I'd rather spend the coin.
