DVIOUS Prelude

Postby FYADUP » Fri Jun 23, 2006 12:38 pm

I was wondering if anyone has any other pics of DVIOUS Prelude that was featured in Hot4's and Hottest 4's and rotaries in 2002.

Any pics of the engine etc would be great as it was mint! I was hoping someone may have pics from other magazines we dont get here in NZ or from shows that they had been to or even a website!?

heres a pic of the car!

it was pretty advanced for its time tho. The engine bay is one of the best ive ever seen apart from dociles, zohabs or nfulfx's engine bay!

the side of it looks cool, i agree on the back of it but the fronts alright.
That mouth on it is HUGE! 8O 8O 8O

Yeah slag away, but remember this car was made wayyy back in the day, before the whole "rice" thing really took off. Go figure! :) I think the level of finish is just outstanding, but a Prelude wouldn't have been my first choice!

I agree on it being a nicely put together car, it's just fugly full stop. I thought it was then, and I think it still is. Extending the wheelarches downwards over the rims, thank god that never took off in a big way.

Iirc the guy who owned it pulled it out of the Autosalon Final Battle in 2001 because he wasn't awarded the top honours, due to the fact he didn't run it on the dyno

LOL!!

I don't like the fact that they put in so much effort into the body work of the car, then the side skirts aren't moulded into the rest of the bodywork, they are just tacked on - they don't look like they are part of the car. But overall, I find that thing to be pretty ugly. Each to their own tho.

I would say that it might have been run, but I doubt it ever turned a wheel in anger .... it would impossible to drive on the street (too low, too custom - headlights are decals), and I doubt anybody would ever let it on a track.

not sure about it being run, maybe a while after the shoot was done, but it sed as long as it was a show car etc, he didnt wanna run it as its would lose colouring in the engine bay, i guess manifolds changing colour and head etc. from heat. But im sure it woulda made a hefty bit of power.
