What would you do?

Have a read of this email i got from someone on TM

Dear Adrian,

I go under the name of xxxxxx, unfortunately this trade was placed without my knowledge by my eager 10 year old daughter as she wanted an MP3 player and I have already bid and been successful on another one which I must say was a lot dearer than yours but we have already paid for it and it is being sent to her.

I am so sorry for the inconvenience, but also see that she was the only one who placed a bid for your MP3 player.

I think you should re-list it with a buy now price and it will definitely go.

Once again I am so sorry for this and my daughter has had a few words from me regarding accessing our computer and placing bids without my knowledge, I believe through her tears this will not happen again.

Kind Regards
X

seems genuine, had a look at their feedback to see if they really did win another auction for an mp3 player?

Yeah you should be able to tell from their other feedback how likely it is to be a bit of a porky and if they're just messing you around.

I'd cut them some slack if it seems they'd be genuine - pay it forward ;)

OK, i now giving them a chance..

to teach them a lesson i have given them the option of paying the success fees or buying the actual item. actually hoping that they take the player..

all good tho. easier than chasing them down if they wanna take the easy way out.

They have 3 positive feed backs at the moment. will it be too harsh to give them negative feedback? i thinking about neutral but wouldn't mind giving negative...

oh so hard to choose!

like the first reply says. Wait and see if they get feedback from another trader for the "other" mp3 player they bought. If it doesnt show up then place neutral feedback and apply for a refund of your success fees. There's not alot of point posting bad feedback, as chances are they will just post bad feedback on you as well, even if you haven't done anything wrong.

Let it go brah, shit happens.

Don't be negatory on the feedback just say you have a 10yo daughter as well and she likes penpals...

When you get their address go round there and chop them up and make a nice curry.
