Postby avinesh » Thu Jul 19, 2007 3:20 pm

had the soarer dynoed today turned out 190rwkw at 5000rpm with boost cut not allowing it to go further found out that i have the wrong hks fcd its a type h an i need a standard type car can make 210-220 rwkw according to the tuner, air fuel ratio was 10.1 so i guess thats safe car is auto 1jzgte with intercooler, exhaust and intake at 14.5psi

i'm surprised it didn't make a little bit more, my 1ggte made 190kw at 13 psi. you need to get it revving properly to redline. plus the auto will be sapping a bit of power. you could have tried running less boost and probably got the same power higher up in the rev range.
current cars:
Evo 4 230Kw atw
1971 mini.
79 bugeye 245kw atw.
Evo powered mx5 under construction

what else had you done to the car when you got the 234? got 238 out of mine with the stock i/c but higher boost and modified turbo setup

190 is good for pretty stock auto, most stock 1jz's seem to float around 160-170rwkw...

10:1 is bloody rich, theres a bit mpore power to be found there if you can lean it out a bit.
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!

yea i think ill drop the fuel cut defender voltage a bit to run it a lil less rich
also since 1jz soarers hit speed cut in third gear could it be that the car hits speed cut instead of fuel cut on the dyno resulting in a cut out at 6000rpm

On a lowish reading dyno.

Only mods at that stage were 3" exhaust from ypipe back, and K&N filter.

Is it just me or do all dynos in New Zealand seem to read low? In fact I wouldn't be suprised if the majority of dynos in the world are claimed to have read low.

Bought a 2J that came with coil packs. :P
You can just use some epox (sp?) glue and put that around your coilpacks with some tightly wound heat wrap and they should be fine.

No No, I've seen Americans occasionally drift onto NZ and Oz forums and question dyno results because cars are going too fast for the dyno numbers they are punching haha.
