Okay so i'm not sure if this topic has been covered before but here goes::
Plus not sure if it's pointless starting this post but anyway.
What type of vehicle is your race car, how much does it weigh?
Specify the weight of the car with driver in it, how much fuel, if it has a rol cage etc.
Just interested to see how many "real" racers are out there in toyspeed land that havd the balls to state the above.
I'll start with mine::
AE82 fxgt 960kg with driver, rollcage and quarter tank of fuel (not sure if it counts for much having fuel in it>, also single race seat and harnesses with no spare wheel
less driver weight of 64kg which makes 896kg

2006 University of Auckland Formula SAE car:
251kg was race weight in Australia with all fluids full (that's only about 10kg of fluids though!).

Design weight for 2007 is 210kg

My race weight for my class is 980 kg,
and I aim for 975 with no fuel and run fuel as ballast as it's weight behind the axel,

so less 75 KG for me, is 900kg,

less 60 kg of lead I run for Sports Saloons,

makes the car weight ready to run with liquids except fuel at 840KG.

Has gained a bit over the last year as i have added things, not worring about weight as we are under anyway, like spare seat and belts and ither stuff.
Originally the car was as low as 810kg with no fuel.

Car is a KE70 DX corolla with 4AGE 20V turbo, W57 and Hilux diff.

when my AE104 is finished I'll definitily be weighing it and will post it up here. the heaviest part of it for sure is the drivetrain, the rest of the car has been stripped.

AE86 still with all glass and lights, 2 seats, cage etc 860kg without me in it.

My AW with ST is about 900kg without me. It's 1300kg on the trailer and trailer is 400kg on the truck weighstation across the road from the Taupo racetrack.

my 4agte levin ae92 was 1080kg incl driver + half tank of gas. Full roll cage, striped interior, a bit of weight added to motor for turbo parts.

my new aw11 has been completely lightened incl lexan glass but has a few more bars in the roll cage. Am yet to weight it. Expecting a little over 1000kg incl me and gas.

I weight 75kg.

Me old 180b was 980 with full tank of gas. I'm 84 so make that 1060. Had cage, 2 seats, belts underbody protection all glass replaced with lexan and bugger all dash left. Bloody heavy cars really

Class 5 (1300cc) offroader, 670kgs. Plus 60l fuel and driver. Which is very light considering the strength of the spaceframe and the size of the 8 shocks!

Celica rally car, aiming for 1300kgs dry. Road celica corner weighted at 1367kgs so I'm hoping to come in considerably under this. Its very difficult to say though. I have removed a tonne of weight, then added back in a tonne more. The 20 litre water injection tank might put me back over the stock weight!!

101 fx + cage + full tank - driver = 1080kg = back to factory weight lol!

AE92 FXGT - 950kg with no attention paid to lightening it. Still 20kg lighter than the 1300cc standard model the body is from with a cage and heavier motor/gearbox so I'm pretty happy with it.

89 GZ20 Soarer - 1250kg at last weight without me in it

Have to get it going again before I can weigh it up with the 1J, but I imagine it will be pretty similar if not less.

I'll get it weighed with John in it, that'll knock about 100kg off the race weight

heh... the Soarer is around 1700 dry weight. Add me and a full tank o' gas and that's nearly + 200kg.
