165 or 185?

ive been looking around for a donor car for my st165 i was driving around on a job today and cam across a rear ended st185 A wide body

took it for a drive and instantly loved it, with 140ks on the clock and being completely standard apart from an HKS pod, briliant conditon other than the rear end has lowering springs and newish shocks he wants 2,000 thought that was reasonable

now the rear damage is mostly the boot hatch lights and bumper i have a donor chassis lying around for bit and a chop

i was wondering what would be better (your opinions) on which one i should keep

get the widebody and put the engine in your 165, the shell of the widebody will still be worth something i reckon, and the 165 body is not only lighter but cooler looking.

keep 165. Get ST205 engine/gearbox/diff, put in it. You will be very happy ;).

The ST165 handles better, the ST185 being an understeerer. Main ST165 issue is underhood temperatures.

Put a ST205 engine and gearbox in the 165.

how about yea read the post properly 8)

its 185 or 165 meaning motor out of the 185

and st165s handle like shit and dont stop from factory

185 has just as much heat soak issues, besides i have a subaru w2a with twwo front rad setups

You kinda gave the impression that you were going to fix the Widebidy 185?

I agree with the 165 with 205 running gear. More potential imo.

165, swap everything you can from the 185 into it.

Oh and are thosa DTM 157 Evo's in bronze? If so good man.

Yip definitely put the 185 engine in the 165 and sell the rest of the body that is left idle.
