lol just my opinion im a 3sge nut so i kind of see it as a downgrade in engine. 3sge sounds nicer has better econmy stronger doesnt require as much work to keep going (tho it looks like hes built a decent rotary - not that i would really know)

errr a 13b-REW makes more torque than a 3SGE

3S - 152@6000 RPM
13b-REW - 222 lb-ft@5 krpm

yeah sure it would go goor probable handle good and all the rest of it but at the end of the day its still a rotary in a altezza, dont get me wrong i like rotarys but many better options than cross breeding, 1JZ, 2JZ, 1UZ, 3SGE+T

cross breeding = ultiment gay IMHO

imo a 3sgte conversion would have been nicer.
assuming these stats are correct which i think they are. standard engine for homologation??? not too sure

http://celica.dublet.org/reference.pl?c ... T205%20WRC

that would be a much nicer option. but i guess they wanted something different that a 3sgte which im sure plenty of people have done. do why not try a v6 or v8 or a 2.0 turbo from another manufacturer

from what i understand they went with a rotary after toyota nz refused them sponsership to put a 1uz in it.
this was at the time toyota were developing the TRD tezza so you can understand why

i say its cool but only because I took the car in 3sge form around taupo and on meremere and found it dissapointing .

Also I have heard it go and it sounds very nice although I believe standard open diff had mass traction issues .
