Even if they're crap quality, the price more than makes up for it.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Fullers aren't the best, but surely they're far from the worst spanners you can get?

Our boss is cheap so he only got us Fuller gear, but it seems to last for what we do. (general assembly of bike stands, etc)

May not be suitable for heavier mechanic use

Hah, yea, my fuller pro set of spanners is really badly abused.

Still going strong.

bunnings don't have specials, so their prices never go "back up". just the lowest price, every day

Mitre 10 mega has a huge range of fuller as well. Chances are they might have the same set as bunnings, and probably not as cheap so go in and do the beat it by 15% thing
above this is a line

What a joke that is

I've gone there for a car charger + other crap and found it 50% cheaper at kmart... needless to say I went back to bunnings with the charger an got my 15% off the price match and will not trust them again for "lowest price guaranteed" false advertising if you ask me.

Really means SFA as the price of the charger is still 50% more than Kmart. The charger wasn't on special either, just standard price.

/bunnings rant.

Not at all - you got it at a lower/same price yes? So their advertising isn't false.

They'll be the lowest if they price match - i.e. when someone points out that they aren't the lowest.

My point was they don't actually have the lowest prices. I read their guarantee to mean they have the cheapest prices. Not that you have to jump through hoops and check everyone elses prices before they will be the cheapest via a price match.

Just bad form imo.

If I advertised the cheapest car in the world, but someone else sells it cheaper, is that fair advertising?

Something else they sell are the 5 piece sets of double ended rachet spanners, black and yellow, for around $20. As long as you don't try undo a rusty nut they are fine.

I have a set and broke the 10mm doing the above, got it replaced fine. So now I crack the nuts with a normal spanner and use the ratchet spanners to finish the job.
