What are your car goals this weekend?

Postby cat007 » Fri Mar 16, 2012 11:16 am

I plan on doing a burnout in my cul de sac - which means I have to get it to a drivable state.

If I can do a stationary burnout, I will consider that a successful weekend :)

Being a mod, I'll assume it's a private road.... don't prove me wrong by posting proof it's not :P

This weekend, hmmm Buy CRC on the way home, spray the shit out of the rear end of the car. Remove the leaf springs by either brute force (impact gun) or by cutting. Then split the engine and gearbox for easier storage on my shelving. That will probably take a couple hours. By which time i'll be well impressed with my effort and take the rest of the weekend off.

^ Nice 8)
I need to find a way to stop my rear tyres from coming off the rims. The super glue I've been using anit holding :? Lasts maybe half a battery then have to change the wheels. Might try some Wurth superglue.

Actual cars - Corolla needs the top oil cooler bracket adjusted to gain some more clearance between it and the bumper.

Grabbed the CRC, engine is now on a shelf, gearbox too, rear end taken apart, cold beer in hand. Pretty sure i'm done with car stuff for the weekend

I owe my impact gun the beer really though as it did half the hard work. The nuts I took off were pretty damn hot after getting a seeing to

That must be some cul de sac , all the ones around here are made of tarmac and don't even have wheels / motors.

I plan to (hopefully) show some of the national hill-climb competitors at alexander road on sunday what it's like to be beaten by a starlet GT

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

Hope to at some stage move one of my holdens out of the garage, re-fit the window trim, back seats etc. Wash it and check my window sealing skills then park it back up in garage
