its quite possible that ae111s or some of them, were limited to a lower speed than ae101s. mid 90s 180kmh speed cut became very common for JDM cars.
hence why my aw11 is faster than a GTR skyline

Fastest ive gone is god knows in a porsche 996 GT2... light as and 4wd and gosh it was fast in a striaght line and wholy moly i thought i was going to die arround corners. Was a wicked experience.

im just talking in comparison to what im used to, where itll pull nearly as hard as it does from 50-100 up to around 200ish . never really gone higher but i suspect itd run out of puff/hit the wall somewhere above that.
sure a small displacement n/a will keep accelerating above that speed, but the rate it does it at is significantly slower. depending on the aerodynamics or course too.

Really, you must have been in some crap 1600's.
Guy ran an AE86 down here years ago in the car club flying 1/4,
from memory it was about 132 mph or something on standard ecu.

flying 1/4? How much run-up do you get?
Most of the 1600n/a i've driven are also struggling by the time they get near 160kph.
