Bolted head onto block, bolted china china manifold onto head, offered turbo to manifold, said loud bad words as #4 exhaust runner and compressor outlet tried to occupy the same space. Probably should have tried to bolt them together 3 months ago.

On the positive side, rotating the compressor housing and making a spacer for clearance gives me somewhere to mount the EGT probe.

Yeah, I know Tardme is the best way to sell, god knows how much stuff I've sold there.

I do still resent the massive price increases there, that are able to happen, because they have an effective monopoly on the viewing market.

What I did today: took the MX5 for a spin up the coast, because blue sunny day, and no job, so why the hell not 8)

Took advantage of Supercheap's 25% sale today and bought a new Century battery for the FX. Ended up getting $40 off it.

Yesterday: Replaced the RH ball joint in the sedan. Found some suitable wheel nuts for the rears to allow the legally required 6.5 turns. Shank style nuts wouldn't fit due to the design of the lug nut holes in the wheel, so ended up using some really conical stubby wheel nuts which allowed me to get the additional half a turn required.

New Cobb SF airbox and HTP piping from filter to turbo. Not gonna use the Greddy/Trust Airinx crap so that's destined for the bin. Once a few other bits get here it's all getting installed and retuned for the new 107 octane "Race Blend" E85 that's been rolled out everywhere. After that it's not gonna make any more power out of the stock turbo no matter what I do.

Finally got the Corolla running again! Only been in pieces since the start of May (and not being driven since the second week of Feb :( )

Has a wicked idle, sounds really aggressive and angry. Good ol stock ecu coped with driving it Feilding to Palmy too haha.

Massive thanks to Captain Crescent (Craig) and NILPSI (Sam) for donating their weekends.

Nah just really wanted to check how well a tyre wall could stop a car

Lost the tail end going into turn 2 at Pukekohe and countersteered but was still going too fast to get back on line.

Didn't happen today, but murphys law says that when you have something nice somebody has to ruin it.

Trueno got reversed into at work last week... couldn't even take a swing as he was a customer

Played with the orientation of the turbo and CADed up a new wastegate actuator bracket to clear the snail.

Td05-18g, with the 8cm exhaust housing. Hopefully not too laggy.
