Raikkonen is my guy I'm not going to chop and change and as for the race well as I mentioned anything can happen of the start line and into the 1st corner. My optimism for Ferrari might need a little luck for them to pull a race win but as mentioned anything can happen.

What will be interesting is to see after 2-3 races if the Brawn cars are still dominant or string a few race victories together how fast the big 2 take to get back on level terms.

Hows Brawn taking pole & 2nd place!!
Really want to watch the race now but dont have sky

& to make things even worse
Toyota
Timo Glock, 1m 26.410s, P8/1m 26.975s, P6, will start P19
Jarno Trulli, 1m 25.811s, P2/1m 27.127s, P8, will start P20
Toyota had expected better than sixth and eighth on the grid, but were still fine-tuning the balance of their TF109s right through to Q3. Glock was nevertheless quite happy, while Trulli found qualifying harder than he had anticipated and was ultimately disappointed. His main problem was generating sufficient heat in his Bridgestones when it really mattered.

The team was struck a serious blow later in the evening, when the stewards deemed that their rear wings were too flexible and moved both TF109s to the back of the grid. Toyota opted not to appeal.

Wow Vettel & Kubica epic fail

Brawn 1, 2 very well done from the new team.

Very well done by Button to get the win, pretty well a faultless drive.

Trulli with a very nice drive from the pit-lane to get up to the podium

Hamilton getting up to 4th, very unexpected and looked odds on all race not to get any points.

Pretty interesting race, rules changes seemed to have spiced things up

Good to see the field had a bit of a shakeup.

I was just following the lap times online and didn't see the race its self, can anyone tell me why Raikkonen pitted toward the end? Was this for strategic reasons? And what happened with Hamilton getting into 3rd, and then back to 4th right at the end when the safety car came out?

kubica = fail!! vettel didnt really have many options

raikkonen spun and bumped the wall
i think hamilton into third was as safety car came out so he had to give it back, but what a drive! 18th to forth!

and awesome result by brawn! rubens was pretty lucky really! just to get round first corner mostly intact!
and yeah good effort by toyota! well done trulli!
hope the rest of the season is as good!!

That was hardly Vettel's fault! Much more Kubica's. Once again it all goes pear shaped for Ferrari, crime scene.

yes!
i noticed it during qual, they have coulthard and jordan doing analysis and for some reason they would only switch over the audio not the pics
so at the end of the race i think they were recording the press conference while talking to hamilton and were going to play the conference after. but the stuffed it up!

Yeah I was thinking 'you idiots' when they had hamilton on audio right as the press conference came up on vision. Then she went for a second question question and I facepalmed. Hamilton was mumbly and taking his sweet time.

Yep Ferrari my man bombed again,Massa's mechanical failiure a rather shabby start for the red team.the one thing I did like though about the Ferrari performance was how they rolled the dice with the SS tyre early but apart from that they were average.

The Brawn fairytale continue's how are Honda feeling about now.

Good to see Toyota get a good result both drivers in the top 5.Well one in the top 5 as Truilli was accessed with a 25 sec. time penalty thats a shame really.

I think out of all the drivers to look out for in those top teams I really think Kubica is in for a big year with not having KERS he really impressed me in that race despite the mishap with Vettel who to could be a real dark-horse aswell.

I was disappointed with the Williams of Rosberg as he went really well early on but faded badly near the end.

As for Hamilton just a real professional drive had a car well off the pace and just got the most out of what came his way a true champion drive right there.

It s really interesting to see which cars drop off in performance with the SS tyre vs the Medium compound tyre.I think teams that can manage the difference between the drop-off in performance with there stratergy will do the best this year but from what i saw those SS are good for about 5-8 laps and then there cake the drop-off in performance is quite dramatic.

Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

So was that vettel and kubica who spun of 4th to last lap (or there abouts) only caught glimpses of it, looked like initial contact, spin then came untangled, all looked good then both karked it on the next corner.

Awesome effort from the brawns, managed to get a few photos at corner 10, and some videos.

Most epic crash of the day seemed to happen in the Australian GT class, what looked like a dodge viper (?) got tagged then tee boned on corner 11, just got it on video on my camera. Was the first lap, think they either completed the race under safety car (8 lap race) or they ended up scratching it as the v8 supercars were due to start. Which btw I was very impressed with they way they drove the track.

Was a great race, good on the Brawns, it was great to see the team win, and the comments they were making before the podium to each other. To go from looking like it was the end of all three's careers, to bounce back and take a 1-2 is pretty special.

One thing I found odd was the aparent lack of race pace that the Brawns had. After qually where they blitzed the field, they really didnt impress me as much as I was expecting, Vettel was able to keep Button honest the whole race. Wether they were just taking it easy I dont know?

But still, a great way to start the season and cant wait for the next race!

the brawns spent most of the race heavier in fuel
at the times when vettel was faster, button was either more fueled, or at the end on the softs which were pretty crap.
when u look at the pitstop they had (it appears they still had fuel in the car when they stopped) which was so slow and lost 4-6 seconds and they still came out a bit in front..... so they were quite fast! also bear in mind that on the first lap he opened up a lead we havnt seen since shumacher used to do.... and built up 4 seconds in like 3 laps and was also pretty fast on the restarts.

and hamilton now has third
trullie ran off road under safety car which let hamilton through. either trulli took it back or hamilton let him through but apparantly if you loose places by going off road under safety car it counts so trulli given 25 second penalty, means no pints for him :x

and wtf vettel gets a 10 place penalty next race! rbr fined 50k for ordering him to continue with 3 wheels.....
