Yes catch can is only required if you have altered the factory breathing system to vent externally.

also, would need to borrow a helmet on the day, anyone able to help out in that regard? will throw in a box of beer :P

don't need a catch can but if you want one PM me and as i'll be making a bunch up before megameet.

for a helmet i would just keep an eye out on trademe for $50 helmets. just make sure they are suitable.

I would steer clear of $50 helmets on TM, you can usually get one for about $80 from a motorbike shop which will meet NZ road laws, Is it worth gambling $30 if you find out its a fake helmet with no standards markings?

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

3 for the deposit - which we have now, thanks guys. Ideally we'd want at least 20 more to make the day fun.

Looks like i could be a starter. Dependant on how hard you are going to be on the catch tank. There's no way I can fit a 2l one anywhere, so if I'm going to be turned away say so now please. Failing that I can possibly wedge a plastic container somewhere if this is ok? Fwiw the car passed scruitineering at last years Jamboree.

A plastic container would need to be one that wouldn't melt when hot oil entered into it... and can you put it back to factory? We will be enforcing the catch can rule because if anything pushes out of the breather there is no way I want to clean that off the track.

Because a car has passed for one event doesn't mean that it will pass for another as I have noted that a lot of people across the country are not very 'bothered' by the rules.
We are all about the rules and will be making sure to the best of our abilities that you are all safe, the venue is preserved and we are don't breach the permit conditions.

Unfortunately can't be put back to factory due to an aftermarket intake manifold that lacks the appropriate fittings. Guess it's shutterbugging for me!

Can you just plumb the breather back into the intake somehow?
