...Fine

I wasn't being entirely serious anyway, I know the Supra isn't really a Supercar.. it just has similar performace to the ones of it's time ;)

Yep- I've seen it on the bonnet badges in various Tokyo Toyota showrooms

Anyway- I believe the Supra was considered a 'Super Sports' car.....although in the states many considered it a kind of Japanese muscle car.

One thing is fo'shu, an MX5 is a sports car...a damn fine one :D

Maybe in one category - braking, held the record for 7 years before being beaten by the Carrera GT (tested by C&D mag.)

The other categories... yeah, not so much..

Its a good thing mate as many on here would'nt have had the chance to experience it.

The car you own had all its limiters taken off by Toyota in Germany and was run on the Autobahn and like you have mentioned and didn't disgrace itself at all it achieved 300 kph and that was in the 1994.I tell you what there were'nt to many massed produced cars that were that capable back then.

Also I'd put Toyota's engineering against any so called Supercar maker back then reliability I'd take the Supra's all day over all those supercars back then.Much like the LFA's engineering now Nurburgring tested and developed I'd take that all day.

Completely agree with you there, would much rather have a near-supercar that I can drive to 300000kms with only preventative maintenance than to have a car that I can hardly drive because it's always being fixed.

And about the LFA - I would consider giving my left nut (if not both of them), to be able to own one of them :D Lexus' Pursuit of perfection doesn''t get much closer than the LFA.

Jealous? :P (I'm kidding)

I say give credit where credit is due.. Supra's do have very good brakes, and so deserve praise for that IMO. We aren't gloating that they're lightweight or anything, which I'd have no problem with someone with an MR2 or something doing..

How is it Dribble its facts as I have looked into things like this over the years. Also its the closest thing before the LFA to being a Supercar Toyota has made so as much as you think its Dribble I can't help it was Toyota's flagship performance car for over decade if you want to cry about it cry to Toyota that they took so long to build another one.

PS I tell you what if I got the chance to own a NE LFA I'd be sure as H*ll beating that drum you could bet on that also.

once again, you show your stupidity, you know when someone replies to a quote, they are talking about that comment.... I was referring to Mr monkeys lack of thought before posting such rubbish. But its nice that you are so keen on looking like an idiot.

Too much F&F around here. The Supra in stock form is no better than the other 280ps big 6's of it's time. They all weighed about the same and had about the same power and were about as quick as each other. Hell the inferior MR2 turbo is quicker in a straight line and more-so around corners.

Supras are cool but please don't make them out to be something out of this world, about the only thing a JZA80 does that something else in Japan at the time didn't do better is stop quickly.

The aftermarket world is where they show their true potential. Out of the box they are just another twin turbo 6 cylinder Japanese tourer.
