I work nights so either day is fine by me, but...fri 7 of feb would be pretty sweet, since the thursday is a holiday so it would make for a 4 day weekend.

Well..... as they said in Wayne's World 2 - "if you book it they will come" (well sort of).

Trackday at Taupo is on!!! The 7th of Feb booking for Toyspeed at Taupo is confirmed!

So after everyone has enjoyed themselves at grassfest (i hope I can make it)... The race track awaits.

The format of the trackday will probably be based on the Queens birthday trackday.

Any ideas on what to do on the other days of the long weekend are welcome.

If for any reason the date changes I'm keen - as King Supra said Suprafest is on that weekend.
but any other time and I'd definately be in.

count me in, never been out on taupo b4, cant wait to drift the 86 all the way round, just hope i can get a good lsd (gulp$$$) b4, but fri or sat will be fine 4 me, my boss is a toyota man, i guess this will just test how much of a toyota man he is, mite even track debute the ke26 wagon that was at the nats!!! or even the nos( check out the 2003 performance car year book) in the ute, 18s and nos a good comination

Hey Tim, good to see ya on the board!

I just got back from the Team On Boost track day at Taupo yesterday and can honestly say it was the most fun I've had in a long time, I will definately attend the ToySpeed version. I was driving a Mirage Cyborg (Cyborg Rage's) and had a great time, we were competing against a field of Evo's, RX7's, WRX's, VR4's and a Supra but still kept up convincingly through the corners etc. We went through 20 litres of fuel in 70Km, I guess that's what happens when you shift at 8500Rpm Performance Car Magazine and High Octane were filming, Team Drifters, GT Motorsport and Workshop X put on some amazing drift displays.

So it looks like I'll take the Soarer to the ToySpeed track day and get my arse kicked, corners are everything and the Soarer is a whale

when I went to Taupo for the first time earlier this year, there was a Chariot there blasting around. Pretty cool to see him getting out and stuck into it.
Actually we had drags down the straight and he can friggen outlaunch me - now theres a sight

that chariot consistently deals to all sorts of people that dont know what their up against.
One of the other MAGMEN, Bart, has a pretty strong MIVEC moo-rage that doesnt lose a lot, and he always goes down to that guy.

The Rav has a lot of the same potential, if you ignore my lack of a hair drier, and bog standard suspenders.
