What sort of revs were you launching at? From previous experience at MMP i found usually if you hold the revs at about 3000rpm then drop the clutch and play with the throttle a bit on take off you should get a good run, i was getting 2.1 60ft times consistanly and running in the high 14's to low 15's.

Also gear changes help alot too! In a 20v you should be changing just befor redline and you may be able to hold it in 3rd over the line depending on the launch which means 1 less gear change and a quicker time

I think by looking at your vid that like me u have an open diff! They are useless and semi slicks wont help you as you warm up one doing your burnout, then when you launch the other wheel will spin so your not really acheiving anything :(

All I do to try and get grip is run lower tyre pressures

yeah, try about 20psi in the front tyres, and 40psi in the rears might help a tiny bit.

I found in my 20v sometimes i could make it across the line in 3rd depending on the launch

I never could but then i always had higher traps than you unless it was side by side and your traps came up cos you used to get overexcited on launch, if i stayed in 3rd till i crossed the line i would be bouncing on the limiter for about the last 100 meters or so.
People used to ask me what rpm i was launching from when i raced, most people assumed i was launching off my rev limiter but realisticly was normally just over 3k on the launch control which is the easiest and cheapest way of dropping your 60 times if you can find an old gizzmo unit - the new ones don't work on toyota's :(

Not me, ive gotta work both days, it's a stupid time to have the drags, most retail stores open on boxing day.

Ill be at the last meet tho, cars getting a good tune done before that so will be hoping to get well into the 13's if the track is any good.

So who went and who got new personal bests??
The meeting over this time is always one of the hardest to get new pb's at, less rubber cos less of the top v8's are there and generally as hot as anything as well.

I managed to pull a 14.61 @ 93mph.
2.1 sec 60 foot.
I found the track to be really sticky, i was launching at 5000rpm, small amount of wheel spin and it bit hard.
Found it was just too hot to run any faster times.
