Last time I filled up on 95 it cost $120, that's in straight-six 3L NA supra, gets anywhere from 500 - 650 km depending on driving.

This may be of some help:

I'm in the same situation (except i have a car), Limited funds, Gas drinking supra.

For 20 bux i expect about 12 litres of gas and on that 20bux i'd expect to go 100 km around town. 1 litre of gas should get you close to 10 kms, anymore than that and you need to take your foot off the gas.

In saying this, i never let my car get above 3.5 rpm unless some boost is needed.

I go through 25-40 a week on my curren. Im a student too and believe me, i barely (during a school week) drive. 5 km's to school and back every day, 1 km to work and back twice a week. Then more random errands. Skyline = you being poor. My mate has one, does the same milage as me and goes through 30-50 a week

Man, I put $30 of 91 in the wagon, which the first decent amount of fuel I've actually paid for in about a month, and it was only 17l
Though I ought to get about 200ks from that at least.

I pay around 140$ to fill the tank.
That will give me 520K's normally with motorway driving. <-- That is when I'm not using my right foot for gas but rather being conservative and using cruise controll to sit on 100. I've managed to get 550K's out of it once but there were lots of downhills involved in that... :P

When I am using my right foot to controll the throttle figures drastically drop to about 400K's and less on a full tank of gas. 8O

So that will mean round about 5K's/Litre.
On the strip it probably uses more.

Im car hunting, wanting a trueno or levin but cant find one, so now looking at some nissans, and will be viewing an R33 GTS25 6 Cylinder, 2.5L

So, seen i havent driven for 6 or so months (or put gas in for that matter) how will fuel prices effect me?

Im use to putting $20 back in the day, which would give me almost half a tank on my 1.6 FXGT :D
But a 2.5L (auto) 6 cylinder?? Do you think it will chew through the gas as i only earn an average of $120 a week!

Cheers.

I had a skyline r33 gts4 2.5l until last week, when I traded it for a 2001 runx. The skyline took 50l to fill and lasted 400km if I was lucky...

the ceres i was driving for a while 4afe.. filled up at oakleigh service station at home..went to mystery creek detoured and went to waingaro springs and come home..this was for edgefest. we fueled up at wellsford with the petrol light on..it took 43 litres. That was roughly 570kms with a full car load..and 1am morning driving if ya get my drift.

my new car Vectra 2.0 16v thing.. the book says 10.5km/l around town and 7.5km/l open road at 120km/h. I do my own test and 100km is about 10 litres.

I went to auckland and back one night cost 51 bucks but I roared on the way home.
I think i could 700kms out of tank on a long distance. ita a 60litre tank costs 106ish to fill.

rant off
Any last words?
Box, toaster, Aluminum, Maple syrup...no I take that back..im'a hold onto that one.

Ahhh, and here goes me deciding on the size of my new turbo! Haha. The detomaso costs about $60 to fill with 98, lasts a week or so, but i drive at least 50k's to work and back a day and with low ratios it means i rev at about 4000rpm on the motorway. That and it runs excessively rich

Celica will be a once a month drive by the sounds of it , 400hp will guzzle it down :(

My AW costs about $60 to fill, and thats about 33 litres with 95 and that gets me just under 300kms.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Eh? My DeTomaso runs at 2750 at 100kmh. We seem to have wildly different diff ratios. Either that, or our rev counters are miles out.

15km/l out of the Charade highway driving :)

Are you talking 3 cylinder turbo DeTomaso, or 1600cc four pot Detomaso (I have the latter)

VR4 TT = Bout $90 to fill, round town I'd expect around 400km from a tank if I'm lucky. Open road is the opposite though, suprisingly good.

City turbo was the best... 20l meant 250km round town, even running 20psi  Though trying to drive at 100km/h meant 3psi boost in 5th to hold that speed. Go go gadget brick-like aerodynamics!
